Burglary: Renovation Opportunity Offences

Good afternoon all, 

We have seen that there has recently been an increase in burglaries targeting homes which are under renovation. 

While I understand that not everyone is going to have their homes renovated - it is something which I wanted to inform everyone about so that you can help us to be on the lookout for anything which looks suspicious. 

Normally when homes are under renovation, there are likely to be crews of people working on the address at the same time. 

Please keep an eye out for lone persons, and/or small groups, who are perhaps not wearing high visibility clothing and do not appear to be using tools or completing any work. If you happen to see work being completed earlier in the day - but then later a smaller number or one person arrives at the address; this could also be a sign that they are intending to commit an offence.
